Hunting at Bay View Hunting Preserve ~
Seasonal; March 15th - May 1st
South Carolina turkey season opens March 15th and closes May
1, with a season limit of five birds. At Bay View our limit is
two birds per day and one per hunt. Turkeys are hunted in hardwood
bottoms, open pinelands and fields. We offer guided and non-guided
hunts. The turkey populations here are stable and increasing,
unlike many other areas where the population has decreased.
We have a large variety of age structure from two year old jakes
to the ultimate challenge of the five year old boss toms. We
always have areas not hunted and only book groups of five turkey
hunters per week. See rates below.
